Brăila, September 28th, 2017: The 21st edition of the National AgriCultura Fair 2017 opened its gates on September 28th, 2017, in the presence of several officials and representatives of the public administration. The event organized by Brăila Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture (CCIA) offers farmers from Brăila and not only, the opportunity to learn new trends in agricultural development, new ways of collaboration, to create partnerships and to identify new markets of sales.

The official opening of the fair was attended by the Minister of Agriculture, Mr. Petre Daea, by the President of CCIR, Mr. Mihai Daraban and by the Mayor of Brăila Municipality, Mr. Marian Dragomir and also by representatives of local and county public authorities, as well as presidents of Chambers of Commerce County.
The President of CCIR, Mr. Mihai Daraban, declared in the official opening of the fair: “I hope that the Romanian industry will understand that agriculture and the food industry are increasingly looking for equipment, the proof being the interest for these manifestations which from year to year increase both as number of exhibitors as well as area. Thus, we hope to balance Romania’s balance of payments, to get as much as possible in Romania”. The President of CCIR also reminded the INDAGRA Fair, which “has reached the highest level, being the largest in Southeast Europe”.

The President of Brăila CCIA, Mr. Stefan Fusea, stressed that: “Brăila CCIA wants the fair to be a brand event that meets the exigencies and expectations of exhibitors and visitors. Exhibiting companies have the opportunity to present their products and services in an appropriate environment with appropriate media coverage to attract as many visitors as possible, agricultural specialists. The fair is a welcomed event expected by farmers in Brăila County, recognized for its agricultural potential”.

 

Background:

 

Organized in partnership with Brăila City Hall, Brăila County Council and Brăila County Department of Agriculture on an area of over 7,000 square meters, the fair presents dozens of agricultural machinery and state-of-the-art technologies for performance agriculture, irrigation facilities, HoReCa equipment and installations. They include horticulturists, processors, field dealers, and research and development institutions for agriculture, folk craftsmen, agricultural associations and cooperatives, banks.

The program also includes events, equally important for the participants: specialized presentations on topics of interest to farmers, information on financing and other forms of support through national and European programs, company and product presentations, meetings of associations of agricultural producers, the launch of the 21st edition of the Fair Catalog.
