Pitești, April 26th, 2018: The President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Romania (CCIR), Mr. Mihai Daraban, participated on April 26th, at the official opening of Agro Piteşti, Agricultural Machinery, and Equipment Fair.

The President of CCIR, Mr. Mihai Daraban, stressed the importance he attaches to the development of agriculture along with the entire Cameral System: “The agricultural sector is the area where European funds have been most efficiently absorbed. If we go through the country, we see that agricultural equipment and productivity in the field have grown a lot. At the same time, if we look around at this fair, we will sadly find that most of our products are imported. This will need to be remedied, both in the field of equipment and in agricultural production. Finally, we will have to sell the value-added commodity, processed goods, so that the easy money concept will gradually disappear. I am convinced that the events that the CCIR organizes in the agricultural sector impulse precisely the activity in this field”.
President of Argeș CCIA, Mr. George Caval said: “I want to thank all those present here, especially the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Romania, local authorities and businessmen from Arges County for their support in organizing this fair. At the same time, I would like to remind you that we will have a special event, the Minister of Agriculture, Mr. Daea has agreed to be a partner and to organize the caravan “Alege oaia!”, at this fair, on Saturday, starting at 11.00″.
The fair is organized by Argeș Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture with the support of CCIR, Romexpo, Argeş County Council, Argeş County Prefecture, AFIR, APIA, Agricultural Direction, Piteşti City Hall, Mioveni City Hall, Topoloveni City Hall and Bradu City Hall.
At its third edition, Agro Piteşti ranks among the top five regional fairs organized by the Chamber of Commerce in Romania, alongside Indagra, an event organized by CCIR, Agromalim – CCI Arad, AgriCulture – CCI Brăila and ExpoAgroUtil – CCINA Constanţa.

Agro Piteşti runs on April 26th-29th, on a generous exhibition area with easy access for both exhibitors and visitors. The fair takes place in the Jupiter City-Carrefour Shopping Complex – A1 Pitesti exit Bucharest.
At Agro Piteşti there are daily folk music and dance programs supported by folk ensembles from Argeş and daily prizes.
