Bucharest, March 12th, 2019: The President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Romania (CCIR), Mr. Mihai Daraban spoke in a televised interview about the effects of Covid-19 on the world economy.

The pandemic that is spreading worldwide has the fastest economic impact in recent decades. Tourism, transport, trade collapse according to the principle of domino.

The president of CCIR said: “There are many economic branches that will suffer, especially in the production area with very many employees on a small perimeter. The commercial exchanges cannot take place without transport, this being the most important and at the same time the most affected link”.

Mr. Mihai Daraban is part of the inter-institutional working group, meeting at the request of the President of Romania, Mr. Klaus Iohannis, in order to evaluate the economic impact of the effects of the coronavirus epidemic in Romania.
