Brussels, 15thOctober 2020: The President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Romania (CCIR), Mr. Mihai Daraban, was re-elected on October 15th, as a member of the Board of Directors of the Association of European Chambers of Commerce and Industry (EUROCHAMBRES), during the 128th edition of the General Assembly of the association.

The membership in EUROCHAMBRES offers the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Romania increased visibility at European level and constant, up-to-date information on the most important topics on the European agenda, which concern the business community.

“With my re-election, I will continue to support the promotion of a sustainable European economy, free trade, job creation, sustainable development and a better standard of living. At the same time, the presence in such an important European forum demonstrates once again the involvement and determination of Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Romania in the sense of developing the business environment in our country both nationally and internationally”, said the CCIR president, Mr. Mihai Daraban.

CCIR has been a member of EUROCHAMBRES since 1993, initially having the quality of affiliate member, and since 2007, due to Romania’s accession to the European Union, it has obtained the quality of full member.
