Dubai, February 15, 2024: The President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Romania (CCIR), Mr. Mihai Daraban, and the general secretary of the organization, Mr. Ovidiu Silaghi, participated on February 15 of this year. at an official meeting with the president of the Dubai Chamber of Commerce, Mr. Mohammad Ali Rashed Lootah, the event falling within the scope of the sustained dialogue between the two chambers of commerce. The discussions focused, in a pragmatic manner, on issues of real interest to the business communities in Romania and the United Arab Emirates.

“The President of the Dubai Chamber of Commerce is an older friend of the CCIR and even of Romania. Over time, through His Majesty’s involvement in the activity of the Association of European Chambers of Commerce and Industry (EUROCHAMBRES), as well as in that of the World Chambers Federation (WCF), we have been able to implement several initiatives in support of the business environment. Moreover, the current state of the political relationship between Romania and the United Arab Emirates, as well as the involvement of both states in the development of joint strategic projects, are also the result of the support of the president of the Dubai Chamber of Commerce. I am convinced that the development of the relationship between the two Chambers is a beneficial process for the internationalization of the affairs of the business community in Romania”, said the president of CCIR, Mr. Mihai Daraban.

Together with the CCIR, we managed to promote, worldwide, a series of initiatives to strengthen business communities, as an essential element of ensuring political stability throughout the world. As for the Dubai Chamber of Commerce, we will remain the same trusted partner of the CCIR and will contribute to the implementation of projects from the two business environments, in mutual interest”, said the President of the Dubai Chamber of Commerce, Mr. Mohammad Ali Rashed Lootah.
