Bucharest, June 20, 2024: The President of the Romanian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCIR), Mr. Mihai Daraban, had, on June 20 of this year, an official meeting with the President of the Romanian Board of Trade Toronto (ROMBOT), Mr. Peter Săndică, in order to establish direct connections for the Romanian business environment with Canadian entrepreneurs, targeting different sectors of activity.

ROMBOT is a dynamic hub that operates in the Toronto area and that promotes bilateral trade between the two states, providing support and important connections for the Romanian and Canadian business environments, in order to increase the number of economic partnerships.

“Together with the president of ROMBOT, we managed to identify the areas of interest for entrepreneurs from the two countries, the areas that can attract investment for Romania, but also what are the business opportunities for Romanian companies that want to access the Canadian market. Thus, we took into account the IT&C sector, import-export activities, the wood industry and last but not least the energy sector. The collaboration between CCIR and ROMBOT will be realized by organizing a bilateral Romania-Canada forum in Toronto. In this way, I invite Romanian companies interested in the Canadian market to use the services offered by ROMBOT to receive support for all activities related to such an approach”, said the president of CCIR, Mr. Mihai Daraban.

“The collaboration between CCIR and ROMBOT becomes essential to capitalize on the economic and commercial potential of both countries. Together we can open up new business opportunities, facilitate trade and also attract mutually beneficial investments. It is very important that the two organizations join forces in order to be able to build a solid bridge between the business communities, based on trust, mutual respect and innovation”, stated the president of ROMBOT, Mr. Peter Săndica.
