Suceava, June 14th, 2018: Representatives of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Romania (CCIR) were present today, June 14th, at the Trilateral Romania-Ukraine-Moldova Forum, an event organized by the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Suceava.

Within the forum, the business opportunities offered by Suceava County were promoted and economic presentations of the neighboring countries participating in the event were presented as well, followed by B2B meetings.

The event has enjoyed a large number of participants, the Trilateral Forum being an opportunity to develop business relationships and identify potential business partners. Thus, 29 companies from Romania, 9 companies from the Republic of Moldova and 46 from Ukraine participated in the event.

Mr. Virgil Goagă, Director of the Department of Foreign Relations of the CCIR, sent the support message of the President of CCIR, Mr. Mihai Daraban: “The main actors in the actions to support the business environment are the National Chamber and the County Chambers. I welcome the initiative of Suceava CCI and I believe that every action of this kind contributes to the consolidation of the business environment in our country and implicitly to the development of the Romanian economy”.

The Trilateral Forum Romania-Ukraine-Republic of Moldova benefited from the presence of representatives of the diplomatic corps: Ms. Eleonora Moldovan, Consul General of Romania in Cernăuţi, Borys Patrash, Economic Counselor, Embassy of Ukraine, Romania.

On behalf of the County Chambers participated: Nicolae Troashe, President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Suceava, Ionel Constantin, President Vaslui Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Ionuţ Jugănaru, General Manager CCINA Constanţa.
Delegations from the Republic of Moldova and Ukraine were: Ms. Lilia Catruc, Director, Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Republic of Moldova, Soroca Branch, Vitalie Colun, Director of Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Republic of Moldova, Orhei branch, Vasily lyakhovici, President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Chernivtsi.

Background:

The first edition of the forum was organized in Cernăuți (Ukraine), under the auspices of the Chambers of Commerce and Industry and enjoyed the presence of more than 100 participants (representatives of business environments in the three countries, together with representatives of local and central authorities).

Ukraine and the Republic of Moldova signed with the EU Association Agreements that have a major impact on the economic area and offer advantages and preferential tariffs to external partners.
