Vocational education – solution for the labour force needed by economy

Contribute to drafting educational policies on vocational education within the CCIR event on March 22, 2017 in Bucharest!

The Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Romania organises the debate Vocational education – solution for the labour force needed by economy on March 22, 2017 at Mihai Eminescu Hall, Romexpo Exhibition Centre.

Top decision-makers from the Government and Parliament of Romania will attend this debate, together with representatives of the Diplomatic Corps accredited to Romania, the associative business environment, financial institutions, employers’ associations and non-governmental associations, companies, consultancies, and mass-media. The CCIR President, Mihai Daraban, will outline the position of Chambers of Commerce and Industry in Romania on the organising and promotion of vocational education as an alternative to the qualified workforce crisis for the enhancement of economic growth on medium and long term.

The structure of workforce in our country is in a continuous change, thus the need to harmonise human resources with work demand from the private environment, according to the economic profile of Romania. Therefore, CCIR proposes to address relevant topics on this issue, such as:

• involvement of the associative and business environment in drafting an education law harmonised to the realities and needs of the labour market
• deepening of the public-private partnership in order to ensure the necessary framework for the development of human resources
• best practices from Chambers of Commerce and Industry on enforcing professional training programmes, through the cooperation with public authorities for revitalising professional education facilities
• proposals from the business environment on occupational profiles, content and programme of training and education, adjusted to employers’ needs
