The Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Romania (CCIR), which holds in the first semester of 2020 the Chairmanship-in-Office of the Business Council of the Organization of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation (BSEC BC), together with the Institute of Circular Economy and Environment “Ernest Lupan”, and in partnership with the European Commission Representation in Romania, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Federation of Associations for Energy Utility Companies, Enel Romania and Marsh Romania, are pleased to invite you to attend the conference entitled The Opportunities of circular economy for SMEs in the Black Sea region, which will take place in digital format, on the MyConnector platform, on June 24, 2020.

In the context of the coronavirus pandemic, we aim to address both the provisions of the European Green Deal and the effects of COVID-19 on the economies of the EU and the wider Black Sea region in the ecological transition.

The main goal of this webinar is to raise awareness about the efficient use of resources, by ensuring a soft transition to a circular and green economy. It also aims to identify opportunities arising from the application of the principles of the circular economy, with impact on increasing competitiveness, innovation and technological progress among entrepreneurs in the wider Black Sea region.

In the context of the negotiation of the Multiannual Financial Framework 2021 – 2027 and the launch of ”The European Green Deal Investment Plan and Just Transition Mechanism”, we also consider discussing the topics on the financial instruments for the transition to a climate-neutral and competitive economy, as well as the way companies can implement the new economic model – the circular one.

Participation in the event is free of charge, but the access will be possible based on the confirmation e-mail you will receive after the online registration, which is mandatory.

The event will be held in English.
