Klagenfurt, Austria, March 15th: The President of CCIR, Mr. Mihai Daraban had Wednesday, March 15th, 2017, a meeting with Romanian businessmen community in Carinthia, Austria, at the Honorary Consulate of Romania, in Klagenfurt. During the meeting, Romanian entrepreneurs have submitted their needs for sustainable growth of the economy and B2B relationships to the President of CCIR.

Mr. Daraban talked about CCIR strategy and the investment opportunities in Romania, underlining the openness of all chambers of commerce and industry in Romania to collaborate in order to increase Romania’s economic performance abroad, but also to support Romanian investors into new territories: “our goal is to promote economic interests abroad but also Romania’ large potential for foreign investors”.

The President of CCIR claimed that he expects the investments in expansion, of the players already present in Romania, to grow and also that the emergence of new Austrians players is inherent. Austria is a strong partner of Romania, given its position on the second largest import partner countries and economic relations are not limited to investment but is also based on intense and dynamic bilateral trade relations.

Mr. Daraban also discussed the measures for which CCIR advocates, namely political stability, transparency, reduce bureaucracy and tax incentives to stimulate investment so that Romania’s economic growth to be primarily based on production rather than consumption. Areas where the Romanian economy can come up with know-how and experience include IT sector, the automotive industry and beyond.
