The event will take place on Friday, April 12, 2019, at Hotel J.W. Marriott, Bucharest.

Experts invited to this debate will assess the benefits and shortcomings of the EU trade policy, namely the impact of the most recent agreements signed by the European Union with third countries, such as Canada and Japan. The implications of the protectionism policies in an increasingly difficult environment, as well as the challenges to the current multilateral trading system will also be addressed. In this this respect, the experts will review the extent to which the EU and its international allies will be able to combat these complicated phenomena.
