Constanța, June 19th, 2019: The Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Navigation and Agriculture Constanta, in partnership with the National Authority for Vocational Training in Dual System in Romania, organized a press conference on the signing of the Collaboration Protocol between the two institutions.
The signing of this protocol is the result of the agreement between the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Romania (CCIR) and National Authority, which provides for the establishment of eight regional offices in support of the promotion of dual education in the business environment.
General Manager of Constanța CCINA, Mr. Ion Dănuţ Jugănaru, argued that “the need for labor is so acute that we need to think, in the medium and long term, to the qualification of the local labor force. We cannot solve the problem of labor shortages simply by employing skilled workers from other countries. One of the priority objectives of Constanța CCINA is to support economic agents in this regard. There is a need for greater awareness of what dual vocational education means and more sustained efforts need to be made both to ensure the optimum conditions necessary for the development of this education and to persuade students and especially their parents that is a good way to go in life. In other countries, this dual education system has been in place for many years and it has been successfully operating”.
“Dual education is, in fact, a public-private partnership and the completion of studies in a dual vocational school must provide the graduate with a job. In a very short time, 8 regional offices will be set up to cover the entire territory of Romania as a representative. After signing the initial protocol with the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Romania, we will sign agreements with eight county chambers of commerce, CCINA being the second one, after Argeș Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture”, declared the president of National Authority, Mr. Ion Gabriel Bratu.
Constanța CCINA collaborates in promoting this form of education with the Constanța County School Inspectorate, in particular within the Local Partnership for Social Partnership Development, as well as in the Regional Consortium. The Constanța County School Inspectorate is directly involved in the creation of new classes of vocational schools, including dual-level vocational education. For the next school year, it is intentioned to establish 6 dual professional classes in Constanța County.
