Bucharest, 22nd: The Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Romania (CCIR) was today, March 22nd, the host of Dual vocational education – necessary workforce solution for the real economy, which took place at Romexpo Exhibition Center.

The Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Romania, representing the business community in Romania, claims the need to relaunch dual vocational education through the implementation of a jointly project able to reflect the conjunction of all actions factors and actors, and to be focused, first and foremost, on the preparation and management of labor and to the adaptation of qualifications to the needs of the real economy.

The President of CCIR, Mr. Mihai Daraban, declared his entire service to assist the Romanian authorities to overcome the crisis of labor: “(…) in the most recent survey conducted by CCIR interviewing business environment, all businessmen, in overwhelmingly, reported that we reached a labor crisis. (…). Romanian education and the real economy are parallel lines”.

However, Mr. Mihai Daraban reiterated its call to the government to act in solving this crisis: “As soon as we take the necessary steps, we may still be economically compatible with any geographical area”.

According to Mr. Cristian Dima, Secretary of State, Minister of Business, Trade and Entrepreneurship, “The active involvement of entrepreneurship in the education system is a window that will generate the correct application in the next generation of professionals. (…) a package of deductibility tax items, favorable for the business environment, to educate future workers, is a very important chapter that we take into account”.

Mr. Ionuț Mișa, State Secretary in the Ministry of Finance, was of the opinion that through open communication and through a correct partnership, problems in this sector can be overcome: “It is clear that the education subsequently influences the economy and business environment in Romania, which is why we need to give the subject the importance it deserves. The Ministry of Finance (…) is trying to improve the tax legislation to find solutions to problems in society. Currently, there are rules of the tax code already published and are available for inspection. They include various legal provisions and several amendments to the Tax Code “.

Daniel Cătălin Zamfir, Chairman of the Economic, Industry and Services Commission, has proposed addressing this crisis in terms of statistics showing that young people with and without vocational educatiohn, leave the country, there are not enough dual vocational educations institutions, which should be affordable, appealing and especially useful for the young people. He also stressed out the fact that we do not know to increase the respect for learning a trade.

The event was moderated by Mr. Mihai Apopii, Vice president of Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Romania and President of Neamț CCI, and was honored by the presence of representatives of the NGO, financial institutions, employers and non-governmental associations and the companies Viorel Arcaș, Chairman of the Committee for Budget, Finance, banking and capital markets, the Romanian Senate, Angel Gheorghiu, Undersecretary of State in the Ministry of Regional Development, Public Administration and European Funds, Mrs. Daniela Sîsîn, Commercial Director of Romexpo, Mr. François Renaut, Expert rating analyst, Bursa Affairs.
