Official opening of the Agro Piteşti Fair – 2019 edition

Piteşti, May 9th, 2019: The President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Romania (CCIR), Mr. Mihai Daraban, participated today, on May 9th, at the official opening of the fourth edition of Agro Piteşti Agricultural Machinery and Equipment Fair organized by the Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture Argeş, in partnership with CCIR, Romexpo and Embassy of the Czech Republic.
This year’s edition brings for the first time in Romania a section devoted to the academic environment, and two conferences of the National Research and Development Institute for Hydraulics and Pneumatics are hosted at the fair. Also, Romanian farmers will have the opportunity to admire the Black Angus specimens at the fair.
“The agricultural sector is of great importance for the Romanian economy, our country having the 6th largest agricultural area used among the countries of the European Union, with almost 14 million hectares, and among the top 10 world wheat and maize exporters. Congratulations to Argeș Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture, which annually brings Agro Piteşti Fair to the attention of the public opinion, an event that meets both the needs of companies operating in this sector and potential investors interested in developing their business in our country”, said Mr. Mihai Daraban, President of CCIR.
“The Agro Piteşti Fair is already an event of a tradition of Argeș Chamber of Commerce, Industry, and Agriculture, reaching this year’s fourth edition. We believe it is a win of the entire business community, the fact that Argeş hosts such an event and we will do our best to keep it and develop it further. Unlike previous years, Romanian farmers, as well as all those working in the agricultural field, can see new machines or products that have not been exhibited before”, said Mr. George Caval, President of CCIA Argeș.
At the fourth edition of Agro Piteşti reached top five regional fairs organized by the Chamber System in Romania, alongside Indagra, an event organized by CCIR, Agromalim – CCI Arad, AgriCulture – CCI Braila and ExpoAgroUtil – CCINA Constanţa.
Background
Agro Piteşti runs on May, between 9th-12th on a generous exhibition area with easy access for both exhibitors and visitors. The fair takes place in the Jupiter City-Carrefour Shopping Complex – A1 Pitesti exit Bucharest.
At Agro Piteşti there are daily programs of folk music and dances, supported by folk ensembles from Argeş, daily prizes with prizes.
