The Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Romania (CCIR) mediated the organization, between October 18-20, 2021, of the Economic Forum Aeronautics and Aerospace Research, an event that will take place in the margins of EXPO 2020 Dubai, within the National Pavilion of Romania.

Thus, with the support of CCIR, the Association of Romanian Aeronautical Companies (OPIAR) will present to the Emirati investors, within this event, the most important achievements of the aerospace industry in Romania.

“CCIR provided all the necessary support to make this event possible, through the dialogue between the Romanian side and that of the United Arab Emirates. OPIAR is an organization whose founding members are high-performing companies in Romania, such as: Aerostar Bacău, Romaero Bucharest, IAR Brașov, Turbomecanica Bucharest and Giar Bucharest, and the internationalization of the Romanian business is a priority for us. The volume of bilateral trade with the United Arab Emirates was, at the end of 2020, 192.42 million euros, which is an important amount, but which certainly has a very high growth potential “, said the president of CCIR, Mr. Mihai Daraban.

During the Economic Forum Aeronautics and Aerospace Research will be brought to the attention of Emirati investors the following topics: the IAR 99 Falcon Trainer Program, intended for Romanian military aviation, cooperation opportunities between the United Arab Emirates and IAR Brasov in the area of Puma helicopters, cooperation opportunities in maintenance, repairs and the review of CI 30H aircraft, cooperation in the field of civil aircraft carriers, Boeing 737 all series and Airbus 320.
