Bucharest, November 22, 2022: The General Assembly of Members of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Romania elected on Tuesday, November 22, 2022, the governing bodies of CCIR for the next five-year mandate. Mister. Mihai Daraban, the President of the Constanța Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Navigation and Agriculture, was re-elected, by secret ballot, as President of the CCIR, with a majority of votes.

Prior to the election of the President of the CCIR, the General Assembly of CCIR Members elected, by secret vote, members of the Board of Management of the National Chamber, these being: Mr. Orzea Corneliu, President of CCI Alba, Mr. Seculici Gheorghe, President of CCIA Arad, Mr. Caval George-Dorin, President of CCI Argeș, Mr. Micula Ioan, President of CCI Bihor, Mr. Bar Vasile, President of CCI Bistrita-Năsăud, Mr. Fusea Ștefan, President of CCI Brăila, Mr. Costea Silviu, President of CCI Brașov, Mr. Gagu Ionel, President of CCIA Buzău, Mr. Drăgan Marian, President of CCI Călărași, Mr. Dimitriu Ștefan-Florea, President of CCI Cluj, Mr. Daraban Mihai, President of CCINA Constanța, Mr. Calcan Valentin Gigel, President of CCI Dâmbovița, Mr. Csaba Balasi, President of CCI Harghita, Mr. Slăniceanu Dragoș Lucian, President of CCI Ialomița, Mr. Dan Dumitru, President of CCI Ilfov, Mr. Tuș Florentin-Nicolae, President of CCI Maramureș, Mr. Nicolae Tudorescu, President of CCIA Mehedinți, Mr. Apopii Mihai, President of CCI Neamț, Mr. Morar Paul, President of CCI Sălaj, Mr. Troașe Nicolae, President of CCI Suceava, Mr. Constantin Ionel, President of CCI Vaslui, Mr. Vornic Sorin, President of CCI Vrancea, Mr. Cârstocea Florin, President of the Sports Carp Fishing Club Association CORBU CCC, Mr. Guven Gungor, President of the Association of Turkish Businessmen TIAD, Mr. Lucian Ioan, President of the National Union of Romanian Employers, Mr. Vasile Pop, Honorary Member. According to Law no. 335/2007 of the Chambers of Commerce in Romania, the President of the International Commercial Arbitration Court is also a part of the Board of Directors of the CCIR.

Among the members of the new Management Board, the four Vice-Presidents of the CCIR were elected, by secret ballot, as follows: Mr. Seculici Gheorghe, President of CCIA Arad, Mr. Bar Vasile, President of CCI Bistrita-Năsăud, Mr. Nicolae Tudorescu, President of CCIA Mehedinți and Mr. Apopii Mihai, President of CCI Neamț.

In the same meeting, the General Assembly also elected the eight Presidents of the National Chamber Committees, with the rank of Vice-President at the representation level, as follows: The President of the Committee for Economic Development Strategies – Mr. Paul Butnariu, President of CCI Iasi, President of the Committee for Production Policies – Mr. Dan Dumitru, President of CCI Ilfov, President of the Committee for policies in trade and services – Mr. Fusea Ștefan, President of CCI Brăila, President of the Chamber Strategies Committee – Mr. Vasile Pop, President of CCI Mureș, President of the Committee for Economic Diplomacy – Mr. Aurelian Gogulescu, President of CCI Prahova, President of the Committee for Employment Policies – Mr. Costea Silviu, President of CCI Brașov, President of the Digitalization Committee – Mr. Vornic Sorin, President of CCI Vrancea and President of the Energy and Environment Committee – Mr. Valeriu Iftime, President of CCI Botoșani.
