Publicat pe 15/05/2024
Bucharest, May 15, 2024: The Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Romania (CCIR) signed, on May 9, 2024, a collaboration protocol with the Ministry of Education regarding the promotion of entrepreneurship in schools, through the organization and implementation of the “Learn from entrepreneurs” project .
The project was initiated by the Maramureș Chamber of Commerce and Industry, during 2023, and already implemented in a testing phase at the level of this county, through collaboration with the Maramureș County School Inspectorate.
The protocol between the CCIR and the Ministry of Education has the main purpose of promoting education and entrepreneurial skills among students in public pre-university education, putting them in direct contact with entrepreneurs, by organizing events and their presentations in educational units, as well as through training sessions discussions between business people and students.
“The initiative of the Maramureș Chamber of Commerce and Industry regarding the launch of this program proved to be a successful one. Thus, until now, at the level of this county there are 72 registered schools, approximately 40 participating entrepreneurs and over 2000 students participating in the meetings. As a natural consequence, at the CCIR level it was decided to implement this project at the national level, by concluding the collaboration protocol with the Ministry of Education, there being, at the same time, an increased interest from the other County Chambers of Commerce and Industry to get involved, along with local companies, in preparing students for the entrepreneurial environment. Certainly, the Romanian education system is in great need of such programs, which contribute to the stimulation and development of students’ entrepreneurial skills in the most practical way possible”, declared the President of the CCIR, Mr. Mihai Daraban.
