The Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Romania is organizing on June 30, 2022, starting with 10:00 A.M., the conference: Securing supply chains for semiconductors and rare metals across the European Union. How could Romania capitalize on this context? in hybrid format, at the CCIR Business Centre, Al. I. Cuza Amphitheatre.
The event will analyze the impact of the current semiconductor crisis with visible effects on global industries (such as automotive industry, electronics, defense, energy and telecommunications) and how the European Union will respond to the needs of affected industries and companies, taking into account the commitment made in the European Chips Act, according to which, the EU aims to produce 20% of the world’s semiconductors, by 2030.
On the occasion of this event, we aim to debate and analyze how Romania can contribute to the supply chains of semiconductors, minerals and rare metals essential for advanced production, necessary for the green and digital transition, taking into account the significant resources that Romania has (cadmium and lithium, beryllium, graphite, magnesium, niobium, tantalum and tungsten). Together with the invited decision makers and experts, we will address the ways in which the Romanian state will be able to get involved in partnerships with the private sector, in order to contribute to solving these problems.
People who will not be able to attend physically the event, will have the opportunity to watch the conference online. Participation in the event is free, but registration is required. The deadline for submitting the registration form is June 29, 2022.
