“The fault of the Romanian economy and Romania productive: Policies needed to close”

Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Romania in partnership with the publication cursdeguvernare.ro organizes conference “The fault of the Romanian economy and Romania productive: Policies needed to close”.

The event aims an active debate on the issues facing the Romanian production and arrangements that sound economic policy would require them to move from “Made in” to “Made by” Romania.

The premises of the debate:

  • Any increase in revenues put pressure on imports. As many have already guessed, not space technology import: import mainly of consumer products and food;
  • Our trade deficit is produced at a rate of 55%, by Poland, Hungary and the Czech Republic, the goods can be produced easily in Romania;
  • Breaking the chains of production has led to imports of moldings that solutions can be found in the domestic economy;
  • Out of domestic products to foreign markets still lacks the coherence of policies developed by competitors;
  • Tax measures – such were decreases in VAT – rarely descended to the level of production, they lost on distributors and chain retailers.

All these economic realities configures the idea that it’s time for a reset approach producing economy by finding concrete solutions for local potential valorisation

Among the speakers will include, along with representatives from government and economic committee of Parliament, Cosmin Marinescu (TB – adviser economy the President of Romania), Mihai Daraban (President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Romania), Ionut Dumitru ( Fiscal Council chairman), Gabriel Biris (Biris-Goran lawyer) – along with seven strong entrepreneurs in the productive economy.

The conference will be moderated by Vasile Iuga (PwC).
