 
	

The Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Romania (CCIR), in cooperation with General Dynamics Corporation, General Dynamics European Land Systems – Mowag and TRACE International, has the pleasure to invite you to the Workshop BUSINESS WITHOUT CORRUPTION: U.S. ANTI-CORRUPTION BEST PRACTICES TAILORED TO THE NEEDS OF THE ROMANIAN BUSINESS ENVIRONMENT, held at the CCIR Business Center on March 7-8, 2017. Through this event, CCIR, as the institutional representative of the business community, pursues the promotion of ethical principles that uphold Romanian businesses’ non-engagement in corrupt practices and the enforcement of appropriate mechanisms for prevention and control of corruption in corporate environments.
Representatives of the business community and experts in the corporate anti-corruption area will present the most effective means to prevent and control corruption within companies in Romania. Entrepreneurs and managers will share their experiences together with the President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Romania, Mihai Daraban, and representatives of General Dynamics Corporation, General Dynamics European Land Systems – Mowag and TRACE International, American organizations specialized on anti-corruption. TRACE International is an American organization specialized in corporate anti-corruption compliance, which provides services to private companies on avoiding engagement in corrupt practices, and General Dynamics Corporation is an American aerospace and defense company, whose best practices on preventing corporate corruption are recognized worldwide.
The general perception on the persistence of the corruption phenomenon represents a major setback for attracting foreign investment, setting-up international joint ventures or establishing partnerships with foreign companies. Furthermore, corrupt practices in corporate environments lead to unfair competition, which affects the overall development of the Romanian business environment.
