The World Expo “Expo 2020 Dubai”

The Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Romania informs the Romanian economic operators on the opportunities offered by one of the most prestigious international events – the World Expo “Expo 2020 Dubai”, taking place during this period.

The event, organized every five years, takes place in the United Arab Emirates, between October 1, 2021 – March 31, 2022, with the participation of over 190 official representatives (countries and international organizations) and over 25 million visitors.

The World Expo 2020 Dubai is held under the motto “Connecting Minds, Creating the Future” which highlights the global need for cooperation, in order to create a new model of sustainable economy, based on the smart use of the globally existing resources.

The topics addressed highlight the great current challenges and opportunities, from climate to connectivity, space exploration to the future of human health, being a true incubator in which creativity, innovation and global partnerships are stimulated.

Romania is present at Expo 2020 Dubai with a National Pavilion based on the concept of  “New Nature“, which will provide an optimal, dynamic framework for dialogue and connection with partners around the world.

Withal, the Romanian Pavilion at Expo 2020 Dubai suggests the need to generate complementarity between nature and technology, as a transformative process in order to create the premise for the development of a sustainable society based on green economy.

Expo 2020 Dubai includes 10 themed weeks over six months, exploring the most critical challenges and opportunities.

Once present in the exhibition center, the visitor will have the opportunity to participate in a series of debates on various current topics and to explore new opportunities for cooperation with partners around the world.
