Bucharest, April 9th: The Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Romania (CCIR), partner of the World Economic Forum in Davos, invites the business community to participate in the Opinion Survey 2019, with a view to drawing up the Global Competitiveness Report, an annual ranking based on an interview of 15,000 company executives from 144 countries.

The purpose of this survey is to reveal the concrete data needed for the annual assessment of the business environment and its ability to achieve sustained economic growth.

CCIR is considering interviewing 100 executives of active Romanian companies, who will have the opportunity to express their opinion on the economic environment in which they operate. The deadline for completing the relevant questionnaire is April 15, 2019, and the document can be accessed here: Global Competitiveness Report 2019

The completed questionnaires will then be sent to the following email address: dri@ccir.ro

On the basis of the data, which the CCIR will report through the Opinion Survey, the world ranking of the competitiveness of the Romanian economy will be achieved worldwide. Since 1979, the Global Competitiveness Report has been the flagship publication of the Davos World Economic Forum, which is particularly important in comparing the factors that affect competitiveness and economic growth. The over 1,000 members of the World Economic Forum in Davos are leaders of the world’s largest corporations.

Survey-derived indicators are used to calculate the Global Competitiveness Index (GCI) and other World Economic Forum indices and reports, including the Active Trade Index, Tourism Competitiveness Index, Gender Difference Index, Human Capital Index, etc.
