Bucharest, April 13^th: The Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Romania (CCIR) and the Commercial Service of the US Embassy in Romania held on Thursday, April 13^th, 2017, an information seminar about SelectUSA Investment Summit, at CCIR Business Center. The seminar aimed to inform Romanian businessmen upon the business opportunities in the United States market.

In the event, the Commercial Attaché of the US Embassy in Romania, Mr. Joshua Burke and Commercial Specialist from the Embassy, Ms. Monica Eremia showed SelectUSA Investment Summit – the most important event dedicated to promoting investment in the United States, to be held in Washington DC between, on June, 18^th – 20^th, 2017.

Mr. Joshua Burke said at the seminar that SelectUSA Summit is a government-wide program hosted by the International Trade Administration of the US Department of Commerce, the first of its kind in the US government. It’s aim is to facilitate business investment in the US, to create new jobs and to raise awareness of the critical role that FDI plays in the US economy.

SelectUSA Summit Investment is a good opportunity for companies to meet hundreds of other businessmen and potential investors, to learn about the resources and tools necessary to invest in US, to discover the current situation and the real market and to discuss with representatives of the US administration, Chambers of Commerce and associations that facilitate and support direct investment in the United States.

SelectUSA Investment Summit 2016 edition counted over 1,000 foreign investors in over 70 markets and over 80 speakers among which was included the President of the United States and 20 US government agencies.

Summit SelectUSA is an optimal platform for exchanging information with leading companies worldwide, economic development organizations and US government officials who take part in this annual summit. US Embassy in Romania will organize a delegation of Romanian businessmen to SelectUSA Investment Summit.
