China, Ningbo, June 12th, 2019: A delegation of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Romania (CCIR) participate in the first China-CEEC International Exhibition, an event dedicated to consumer goods and services.
The Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Romania, together with ANAMOB and the Romania-China Chamber of Commerce and Industry, promoted this event to the business community, which represents an opportunity to present Romanian products on the Chinese market.
Romania’s presence in China – CEEC Expo was made possible by the Ministry of Business, Commerce and Entrepreneurship (MMACA), which, through Shanghai’s Commercial and Economic Promotion Office (BPCE) and in cooperation with Ningbo city authorities, has coordinated our country’s delegation.
The exhibition is organized in the 17 + 1 platform, which includes the countries of Central and Eastern Europe + China. This platform seeks to strengthen economic cooperation between China and Central and Eastern European countries such as Romania, Albania, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Croatia, Macedonia, Montenegro, Serbia, Slovenia, Bulgaria, the Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland, Slovakia, Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia and Greece.
Mr.Radu Fodoreanu, Economic Adviser at BPCE Shanghai said: “We are very happy that Romania’s delegation held the most consistent presence at China-CEEC International Expo. 84 Romanian manufacturing companies, local distributors and importers and professional associations and chambers of commerce were present at this fair, and the range of goods exhibited included wines, honey, bakery products, clothing or wooden constructions. We trust that this event can be an extremely efficient platform for all Romanian producers wishing to access the Chinese market”.
Background:
Ningbo has hosted over the last five years the China-CEEC Exhibition, dedicated to the 1 + 16 member states that became 1 + 17 after Greece joined. The novelty of this edition gives rise to regional and national growth, with much increased media coverage and a direct involvement of the MOFCOM (Ministry of Commerce of the Republic of China) through its provincial offices.
The sixth edition of the China-CEEC (Central and Eastern European) Chambers of Commerce Seminar was held on the occasion of the exhibition, which hosted talks on the dynamism of the 1 + 17 platforms’ business cooperation and B2B sessions.
