Bucharest, October 2nd, 2019: The Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Romania (CCIR) has recently released, for the business environment, the latest edition of the Incoterms 2020 catalog, a publication that contains the commercial conditions regarding the delivery of goods. Thus, importers and exporters from all over the world can come in possession of a powerful commercial tool, which will allow them the sustained development of their businesses.
The Incoterms 2020 catalog contains more detailed explanatory notes, with improved graphics, illustrating in this way the responsibilities of importers and exporters for each applicable trade rule. At the same time, businessmen have a much more detailed explanation on the application of the Incoterms rules in relation to specific transactions.

One of the ICC’s priority actions is to make the technology work for all the commercial entities involved, in this respect has been launched the dedicated mobile application Incoterms 2020 which includes a wide variety of informative features, including the latest news updates, event information and training opportunities.

Background

The Incoterms rules were first introduced by the ICC, in 1936, in order to establish the generally accepted framework for the delivery of goods among traders around the world. The ICC has periodically revised the Incoterms rules to reflect changes in the international trading system.
Incoterms rules ensure the smooth running of business worldwide, as it helps importers and exporters understand their responsibilities and avoid costly misunderstandings. At the same time, the Incoterms rules contribute to the formation of a language of international sales transactions and the development of the degree of trust between the business partners.
